Frozen leafs

New Year is coming but I have some images left to this year as well. At Christmas morning I was photographing in Hyvinkää. Weather was great few minus degrees and clear sky. I spotted few frozen oak leafs and took few shots of them. I used ISO speed 160 and focal length 55mm. Lens I used was my kit lens Canon EF-S 18-55mm DC III. This shot is hand-held and flash didn't fire.

HDR image of yellow toys

It was boring to sit inside because there is raining all day long at few days in row so I decided to play with my Canon EOS 1100D and take a HDR image of my sons toys. Those yellow toys were good subject to take HDR shots. I take photos hand-held and without flash. I can't remember the ISO speed just now but I think it was 800 or so. This HDR image is post processed with Photoshop CS5.1 and Nik Software - HDR Efex Pro. I like the colors in this one.

My neighborhoods church in HDR

I was wondering the first snow of this winter with my Canon EOS 1100D. My neighborhoods church looks great in that night so I decided to take a HDR shots from it. Shots were taken hand-held and without flash. ISO speed was 1600 because my tripod was home and I need to get pictures faster. I like the mood of this HDR image. Shadows and details are quite good in my opinion.
Shots is merged with Adobe Photoshop CS5.1 and Nik Software - HDR Efex Pro. I used 3 shots in this one and exposure values were -2, 0 and 2.

Smoke passing by HDR

This is again from central of Tampere city. Weather was windy and cold but I still went out and take my camera with me. I took this HDR with ISO speed 200 so the exposure timing was quite long and the smoke looks fancy in this one. The HDR is merged from 3 shots all with different exposure values. Shots were taken with tripod and without flash. I like the atmosphere and reflections in this HDR image. I hope you like it as well.

Bike racks on snow HDR

I was taking photos yesterday evening in the central of Tampere. I found these bike racks and decided to take a HDR image. I set my tripod as low as I could and got quite good perspective. I used ISO speed 800 and I took 3 shots with different exposure values. Here is the result:

I like the mood of this HDR image. Colors turned out quite good and some details are good too. Especially I like that big window and its colors.

First snow of this winter

First snow has come. I was walking in our neighborhoods and take some photos of the first snow of this winter. I used my Canon EOS 1100D and EF-F 18-55mm DC III lens. I didn't take my tripod with me so the shot is taken hand-held. I used 3 shots in this one and I like the colors came out. I like quite much of HDR effects. Here is the result of yesterdays photo walking.

Nightly street view before the snow

Little older photo today as well. This one is taken before the snow has landed in Tampere in this week. I took this one few weeks ago. This is merged also from 3 different shots. I used again Photoshop and HDR Efex Pro to merge this HDR photo. This picture is taken near at Church of Finlayson.

Church at night in HDR

This is few weeks old HDR picture. I took it when I was walking in Tampere at nigth few weeks ago. I used Canon EOS 1100D and Canon EF-S 18-55mm DC III with this one. It is also merged from 3 shots as almost all of my HDR pictures. I used exposure values -2, 0 and 2. I also had my tripod with me so this is taken with it and ISO speed was 200. Photoshop and HDR Efex Pro helped much again and here is the result of Church of Finlayson at night!

Panorama

I was walking on our nearest beach in this week. I took this panorama picture when sun was setting. I used PhotoStitch to merge all those 5 shots to one panorama but I don't like the result that much. PhotoStitch didn't make it so well and I don't know how to correct its result manually. I used tripod to take these shots and I double checked that it was well placed before shooting so I think that those photos are good but PhotoStitch didn't merge them that well I thought. I used my Canon EOS 1100D and kit lens. I think I need more practise to make good panoramas. Click the picture and you see it bigger.

One of our cats

Our black and white cat is posing in this photo. This one is taken my regular gears Canon EOS 1100D and Canon EF-S 18-55mm DC III. The photo is taken hand-held and ISO speed was 3200 probably I forgot ISO AUTO on because it is so high in this shot. Flash did not fire because I didn't want to scare our little cat.
